OH my goodness gracious I have just completed the long and tedious task of filling out financial aid forms!!!!! I'm very proud of myself and i think to reward myself im' going to take a trip to the library and use this new information obsorbing technique I invented called reading. Then i will attempt to invent the first human teleportal so that I don't have to walk back to my apartment through this bloody snow.

Amore e Veritas

"Life is spiritual and every moment is sacred"
-Jack Keuroac

my entire adult existence has been a struggle between balancing the tendency to be lethargic and being able to appreciate every fading moment.

That quote pretty much sums my thoughts up.
but i'll keep rambling anyway, because baby, I like to ramble.

Finding someone that brings out the beauty in everything around you is something no person should be deprived of. It makes me forget that i stutter, It makes me forget that i'm socially awkward, it makes me forget my anxiety, and it makes me forget my loneliness.
All of the inadequacies that i have or rather that my culture makes me believe i have instead of being negative don't bother me anymore. Your love made me realize normalcy is an illusion.

truth is love, love is truth

Something substantial is happening I can feel it.

Warmth never stays when it rains except today.

ERIN

Even though you're old
you're growing more bold
and to rise above the crowd
is something to be proud
of. For without our relation
i'd have no inspiration.
and for my final aclimation:
I'm consumed with admiration.

Weak i know...
Happy birthday!!!!
Love you Erin

scraelings and cream

Everytime i'm forced to swallow my own words I have to take a while and ask myself why. This time I think i might actually be getting somewhere.

So i find myself contradicting myself all of the time. I'll say something that i agree with and do the opposite, I'll say something one day and say something that disagree's with that another day. Well this has always really bothered me, as most people would agree that it should. Well i'm boldly stating that I don't think it is bad. I think that contradiction is somehow instilled in all of our brains as a bad thing, but it should be viewed as an aid to growth and understanding. It is our human nature to contradict ourselves and there would be no growth if we couldn't do something and recognize it as being unagreeable later on.

I know im speaking very generally but the bottom line is we're all walking talking contradictions, in our thoughts, and in our actions, and if you deny this then you're lying to yourself. Uncertaintanty in this world forces mistakes, and the only thing constant is inconsistancy so if you think that you're somehow above this you should re-analize the situation. I think that once you realize this you will be able to let off alot of uneeded worry and stress. I'm no saying that uncertainty is comforting but the realization that uncertainty is the only undeniable fact of life has helped me find more joy in life.

birds on fire

single celled organisms have it alot easier than we do... If all I had to do was figure out where i was going to get my nutrients I wouldn't have to deal with this anxiety all the time. Foreverwhenever however. Everything is circular, there is no end in sight. Follow the leader and no one will get hurt. Leave me a message, i'll get back to you later. I'm building walls between myself and society, only the few whom know how to plug in will the any output. Don't know if this is selfish or not. Who defines selfishness anyway? Webster, Oxford? Where are you when i need you. I define my own reality.... My reality defines me? Nature or nuture....

All all this means is that i'm going to need one hell of a woman to decipher my thoughts and plug them back into me full of meaning. Where are you?

Science is relative to your view of reality. science, like many atoms, is inert, or maybe i learned it wrong. right? write?.....wrong....

Myspace makes me sick

I've been trying to search for an alternative to myspace because that site has been pissing me off lately. I love blogger but i would like to do a little bit more social networking.. If anyone has any ideas let me know. I've found Xanga, and livejournal which is basically just like blogger.

Alternative Commencement

I was thoroughly impressed with BYU on thursday. Or atleast a few students at BYU. As I'm sure most of you already know BYU invited Dick Chaney to speak at there official commencement this year. He accepted the invite of course (Provo being one of the [if not theee] biggest conservative strongholds in the country).

Well a few (25) choice BYU students decided to use there right to protest and held an alternative commencement with speakers who not agree with Chaney (An evil man,
who botched the Iraq war, has political ties with big business, and supports degredation of human and constitutional rights). Anyway they invited Pete Ashdown, Jack Healey and Ralph Nader. I just want to give props to all of the people who pulled this thing together. As anyone who has lived in happy valley can attest, it's not very easy to do anything around here that doesn't follow the basic beliefs of the community. I mean you can get completely chastised for opposing the church's ideals. As i'm sure they did

Even if these speakers at the alternative commencement didn't agree with the students specific ideas I thought it has had an amazing effect on the valley. It has created a stage for questioning of our leadership, something that doesnt happen often around here. Just in the past few days I have heard people talking to each other about the controversial speakers.... This will create more and more political talk and maybe even some free thinking. I feel like on a personal level i have bennefited from it greatly. It forced me to question the policies of our local and national government and want to get more involved. I plan on attending more local meetings and trying to stay on top of whats going on in our country and the world.

Props to BYU!!!!

Word to the confused....... You're an agnostic polytheist

Whilst browsing the intergalactic blog-o-sphere I came across this article that really caught my attention. If you, like myself are struggling with your theological views I would recommend reading this. Even if it doesn't give you any direction as to what religion seems correct atleast you will know what to label yourself!!!!

Agnosticism vs. Athiesm
by: Austin Cline

Question:
If atheism is just disbelief in gods, then what is the difference between that and agnosticism?

Response:
Many people who adopt the label of agnostic reject the label of atheist — there is a common perception that agnosticism is a more "reasonable" position while atheism is more "dogmatic," ultimately indistinguishable from theism except in the details. Is this a valid position to take?

Unfortunately, no — agnostics may sincerely believe it and theists may sincerely reinforce it, but it relies upon more than one misunderstanding about both atheism and agnosticism. These misunderstandings are only exacerbated by continual social pressure and prejudice against atheism and atheists. People who are unafraid of stating that they indeed do not believe in any gods are still despised in many places, whereas "agnostic" is perceived as more respectable.

Atheists are thought to be closed-minded because they deny the existence of gods, whereas agnostics appear to be open-minded because they do not know for sure.

This is a mistake because atheists do not necessarily deny any gods and may indeed be an atheist because they do not know for sure — in other words, they may be an agnostic as well.

Once it is understood that atheism is merely the absence of belief in any gods, it becomes evident that agnosticism is not, as many assume, a "third way" between atheism and theism. The presence of a belief in a god and the absence of a belief in a god exhaust all of the possibilities. Agnosticism is not about belief in god but about knowledge — it was coined originally to describe the position of a person who could not claim to know for sure if any gods exist or not.

Thus, it is clear that agnosticism is compatible with both theism and atheism. A person can believe in a god (theism) without claiming to know for sure if that god exists; the result is agnostic theism. On the other hand, a person can disbelieve in gods (atheism) without claiming to know for sure that no gods can or do exist; the result is agnostic atheism.

It is also worth noting that there is a vicious double standard involved when theists claim that agnosticism is "better" than atheism because it is less dogmatic. If atheists are closed-minded because they are not agnostic, then so are theists. On the other hand, if theism can be open-minded then so can atheism.

In the end, the fact of the matter is a person isn't faced with the necessity of only being either an atheist or an agnostic. Quite the contrary, not only can a person be both, but it is in fact common for people to be both agnostics and atheists. An agnostic atheist won't claim to know for sure that nothing warranting the label "god" exists or that such cannot exist, but they also don't actively believe that such an entity does indeed exist.

let's build a wall

The higher they climb
the farther they fall
let's construct a wall
one hundred feet tall
from mall to mall
let's construct a wall
the higher they climb
the harder they fall

help me overthrow
the animals
who run the show

who place their cornerstone
right in the war zone
with people to protect
and towns to wreck

they need a perscription to fill again
drink from the prozac fountain
its now available under the counter

The higher they climb

let's construct a wall

Before you forsake my foreskin
might i mention my Norse kin

Hiding under rubble
they'll be here on the double-with trouble
to burst your bubble
with their untrimmed stubble

you see this bloke
and his kin folk
like to evoke a choice
give the un-spoke a voice
when you lift your gown off the groud i rejoice

In youthful infancy
it is absurd to disagree
you took a piece of me
and i mean literally

i know it's wack,
but cut me some slack

can i please have my foreskin back!!!

Lyrical laxative

i'm full of original undocumented knowledge tonight

oh wait i'm drifting off topic

we're actually real contenders
with hakeem and clyde the glyde drexler

but houston, they don't compare
to when the bulls had michael the air

there was no question it was all a guarante
they had the best nose candy in the league
from the west to the east and across the red sea

but now times are startin t' change
with playa's like homeboy lebron james
when we used to have real men like arvedus sabonis
now we've got punks who think that they own this

yes nothing is how it seems
there are no longer real ball teams
just individual players
with hidden layers

who should learn from my man jason kidd
If i speak to plainly "heaven forbid"
